"To paint The Ballerina in a new context and highlight her unique character, she is positioned at the center of the painting, with all the light focused on her during her performance. She is depicted in a way that is detached from physical reality, creating room for ambiguity and individual interpretation. Whatever else I can’t express with words can be expressed through my painting."

Artist Statement
“My goal in art is to paint and hopefully invoke emotion by using colours, symbolism, and elements of art. While there lies beauty on the surface of my pieces, I believe within each one there lies a process of thought that derives inspiration from the world. From landscapes, trees, and faces, to concepts of individualism, conservation of nature, and light. I want my artwork to evoke feelings, unique and nuanced to each viewer.”
